Happy Thanksgiving-It’s the Giving Season

We hopped in a car with my family and drove to Detroit, MI.  We are spending Thanksgiving with my sister’s family.  It’s nice to have my daughter who lives in LA home although our car was pretty crowded with four people, two dogs, wine, food and luggage!

We will be cooking a lot of the day today.  My sister is allergic to turkey, so it will be beef for us.

I know there is a lot of rancor in the United States today.  It’s okay, it’s part of who we are as a country sometimes.  I do know that when the chips are really down Americans unite and do the right thing.  One way you can have a positive effect on our society no matter what your political affiliation is at the site Public Good.  It’s the beginning of the giving season. Why not set up a profile at and start giving to do some good? It’s something we can all come together on.  Even small donations help and you get to choose where your money goes right from your armchair.

Hope you and your family are able to get together and enjoy each other’s company.  God bless you on this holiday.  I am thankful for you if you read my blog and hope only good things happen to you. This seems like a nice idea.

I also find this a bit humorous.
