On The Arab Spring

Have you been following the events in the Middle East? I have been paying attention. It disgusts me.
Especially if you focus on the events in Libya. The behavior of the animals that attacked our embassies makes me mad.
Obama and his administration are blaming a movie. But, they should be blaming themselves. Why?
1. They received intelligence 48 hours before any attacks that there may be attacks on their embassies. The intelligence wasn’t specific, but with the anniversary of 9/11, you’d think you’d want everyone on alert.
2. Marines weren’t armed with bullets. They weren’t locked and loaded. Hillary Clinton’s State Department issued that order because “we come in peace”. I get that sentiment-and it is the correct one. But if you are going to carry a weapon, you better be prepared to use it.
3. In Benghazi Libya, there were no Marines guarding our ambassador. Shouldn’t our ambassadors always have protection everywhere? That’s the nature of terrorists. Attack when it’s unexpected. Our Canadian ambassador always ought to have some protection. Hard to believe in an area like Libya that is not safe for the locals our important people on the ground didn’t have protection.
4. The initial response was terrible. Instead of calling out the people that attacked the embassy, the administration issued an apology and then didn’t defend our first amendment rights. I agree, the film maker deliberately made a film that would incite people. The minister in Florida that wants to burn Korans is a crackpot. But in our country, you have to right to say that stuff without repercussions. Obama wants to figure out a way to arrest the film maker!! They even released data on the film maker.
This analysis isn’t partisan. This is a President in way over his head. It’s a President that doesn’t understand how to lead. It’s a President that can’t make the tough decisions. Hillary also performed poorly. No speech that she makes will cover the fact. She ought to be stepping down from the State Department. There is unnecessary blood on the hands of this administration. If this were Bush/Condi Rice, I’d say the same thing. If this were Romney/Fill in the blank Secy of State, I’d say the same thing. When you look at other Presidents, I can only think of one where this might have happened in the same way, Jimmy Carter.
But, he was the worst President we had in the last 50 years. Until this one.
