Over on Twitter, @BenK84 sent me this video.

I don’t mean to make light of Jim Cramer. I do mean to point out that no one is smarter than the market and there is a reason that early investors pull their money out of companies when they hit the broader market.

If there is a lesson in all this, it’s that active trading and picking stocks can hurt you pretty badly. If you are an average investor, buy an S&P fund, use the efficient market hypothesis to invest. In the long run you will do a lot better.

Angel and Venture Capital investors have a far different agenda with different parameters on their capital than stock market traders and investors. It’s important to note that when you see buying and selling.
