You probably aren’t following this, but there is a big brouhaha over gestation crates and pig production. Animal rights activists are against gestation crates. Many farmers like them. There is a reason I am avoiding certain places in Chicago.

Cougar on the north shore of Chicago. No really, a cougar.

Things are so bad in Greece, they can’t even afford to bribe anyone.

Judicial Watch sues the SEC and CFTC over MF and Corzine. For a moment, let’s presume Corzine didn’t do anything wrong. Why is the PFG guy’s case over and Corzine’s still being stalled?

Effects of Accelerators. The author pulls out YCombinator and then looks at data from everyone else. My only quibble with that is many Accelerators haven’t been around long enough to get exits. For example, Excelerate Labs in Chicago has only had 2 classes with a third graduating in a few weeks. Give them five more years, then look at their data. Currently, a lot of accelerators do a lot of good. Companies are staying in business. That should be the key metric now. Worry about exits once five years pass by.
