Here is something you don’t hear about. Rand Paul’s quiet assault on defense spending.

Penn State received their sentence. I don’t agree with some of it. Why penalize the existing students and players? Why not penalize every coach that was on the staff and bar them permanently from all levels of college football? Why not penalize the old administrators? Vacating the wins means nothing except to statisticians. The monetary fines were probably necessary. The penalty seems more about the NCAA saving face, than it does anything else.
