I am on my way to Oxford, Mississippi. Light blogging the next few days.
In case you hadn’t seen this already, you should. Next time your doc says something print this out and give it to him. A myth I tell you. A myth. At least I hope so. You can find a lot of good fried stuff in the south.
Hey, there is hope. College kids becoming more libertarian.
Hey now. Climate change fueling the sex trade in Cambodia. Lots of falsehoods in the article. But the biggest whopper is the sex trade has only been around since 1999 in Cambodia. Really?
On Saturday morning, I will be on the Mike and Gina Spehn Show. We are going to be talking about faith and politics. Earlier this week, they interviewed former President Jimmy Carter. Carter was the first really overtly Christian to be elected to the Presidency in the 20th Century. They take phone calls. Should be interesting. Promise to try and blog about a few things before I am on. I have been thinking about this all week.

More crony capitalism thanks you your President. Sheesh, I thought other Presidents were bad. They have got nothing on Obama. He gets the gold medal and is in the crony capitalism Hall of Fame.
Republican debate from last night. I didn’t see it. Here is a summary. From the Twitter feed I had after the debate it looks like Romney held his own. Santorum made some blistering attacks on Romney. Ron Paul wasn’t mentioned. Nationally, polls show Newt up by 9, but recent polls in Florida show Romney up. Will be an interesting election and the only one that matters to date.
Would you become a consultant if you graduated college today?
A professors opinion on teaching EMBA students.
If you are into the whole civil liberties thing, read this.
No doubt about it, the last three years have been brutal on savers. How brutal? This brutal.
Bernanke to teach a class at George Washington on the Federal Reserve. I think I’d rather take Axel Weber class at University of Chicago, but his effort is applauded. Like some, I don’t dislike Bernanke. He has had some pretty tough sledding. It’s the President that has made it tougher.
Left late out of Chicago. I am spending the night in Marion, IL. Second home to Illinois politicians. Just teasing. Marion is near Carbondale, and is home to a maximum security prison. On June 10, they had a basebrawl signing here. Sorry I missed it.
