Went out to Q last night. We were supposed to go to Owen and Engine, but the power was still out in Bucktown from all the storms we have had. People in parts of Chicago think that Noah is returning. We went out for a drive to get some gelato. Couldn’t believe all the people out at bars and restaurants on Division west of the Kennedy Expressway. It was a great night in the city.

Take a peek at gold. ($GLD). I was thinking this might be a pretty good short (but painful) and average in as the debt ceiling debate roiled. Once DC sorts it out, doesn’t it snap back?
